Our plan? A delightful morning celebrating the magic of winter in our splendid mountains!
We’ll kick off the day with a 1.5-hour ascent by foot or snowshoe on a scenic trail leading to the charming “Refuge du Tornieux” (crawler ascent possible on request).
Once we arrive, it’s time for a feast!
Indulge in a traditional lunch featuring the famous “Bougnettes du Tornieux” (potato beignets, a 25-year refuge specialty), local charcuterie, fresh green salad, a selection of farm cheeses, and a tempting choice of dessert (if you don’t eat charcuterie, we’ve got you covered with options like a hearty omelette or savory beef charcuterie).
After this feast, there’s nothing better than sledging down to the top!
For added safety and comfort, the refuge equips you with a helmet and sledge. Don't forget to dress appropriately for sledging: ski trousers, gloves, warm jacket, etc.
Once we know who is motivated by the activity, we suggest organizing a mutualist to drive the cars to the meeting point.
Sallanches is 75km from Annecy (about 58mn driving). It is also accessible by train : pick up from the train station at Sallanches to go to the meeting point to be organized if needed.
